Big Hearts Community Trust is dedicated to delivering an ambitious family-focused strategy. The charity aims to support families in need within our communities by leading, coordinating and facilitating meaningful activities where need is identified.
As official charity partner of Heart of Midlothian Football Club, Big Hearts uses the power of the club’s crest to better improve outcomes for vulnerable individuals across Edinburgh and surrounding areas.
Big Hearts is an independent charity working closely with local organisations and charity partners in Edinburgh and surrounding areas to identify areas of needs and reach out to the most vulnerable families and individuals, including ‘hidden’ groups.
We are currently running four main programmes which reflect this ambition:
– The Kinship Care Programme, for young people and their carers living in a kinship setting.
– The Football Memories Project, to improve the wellbeing of older people facing isolation or at risk of dementia.
– The T.E.A.M Project, for young people from multi-cultural backgrounds and family recently arrived in Edinburgh.
– The Big Hearts Supporters Movement, enabling Hearts fans to volunteer in their community.
