BIG HEARTS: 2023 WINTER SUPPORT
This year Big Hearts, the official charity of Heart of Midlothian FC, aims to make a meaningful difference to families and individuals living in the local community who are feeling the harsh reality of the cost-of-living crisis.
Big Hearts always put people at the heart of what we do and by using the power of football, our charity aims to empower the people we support by helping in a way that is right for them.
This winter we will dedicate our efforts to providing support to the hundreds of participants involved in our programmes. Throughout December, we will offer fun festive activities and support whilst continuing our weekly projects.
During the winter months we will also work alongside many more local people and families, utilising much needed vouchers, empowering choice and providing bespoke advice.

Winter Lunch Club
Due to an increase in demand, Big Hearts’ Warm Welcome Lunch will continue to run every Wednesday at Tynecastle Park. In partnership with Cyrenians, our lunch club is open to anyone living, working, or learning in the Gorgie and Dalry area.
We invite you to join us for our festive Warm Welcome Lunch, which will take place on Wednesday 20th December.
Funding for local organisations
We will again be providing vital grants to smaller local organisations, who are providing a variety of winter support for local people. This will see us help open more community facilities, provide food and company for many within our community on our doorstep here in Gorgie, Dalry and the wider South West Edinburgh area.
Mission Christmas
Once again, this festive season will see Big Hearts team up with Cash for Kids to ensure young people in need across South-West Edinburgh get to open a present on Christmas Day.
On Saturday 25th November, Big Hearts will lead on the collection of toys and games from our supporters prior to Hearts FC match against St Johnstone FC.
