The 2006 and 2012 Scottish Cup winners and the demolition derby hero need no introduction and are all remembered fondly by Jambos for their heroics against Hibernian at Hampden and Tynecastle Park!

Paul Hartley scored his first professional hat-trick in the Scottish Cup semi-final in 2006, with Heart of Midlothian FC going on to lift the cup after defeating Grenta on penalties in the final.

Darren Barr scored the team’s first goal on ‘that day in May’, when the team went on to win the Scottish Cup in 2012 after beating our city rivals 5-1 in one of the most memorable days in Hearts’ history!

Mark de Vries made an instant impact in maroon, scoring 4 goals on his home debut as Hearts thrashed Hibs 5-1 in the opening game of the season in 2002.

We look forward to welcoming Paul Hartley, Darren Barr and Mark de Vries back to Gorgie for the 2023 Big Hearts Gala, to hear memories of their time at the Club including stories from Scottish Cup glory and scoring goals against our city rivals!
