VACANCY: BIG HEARTS RECRUITING A NEW PROJECT LEAD
Due to an internal transfer within Big Hearts, we are delighted to announce a new job opportunity to join our growing staff team as Project Lead – Football Memories.
This part-time role will focus on running and developing one of our charity’s most popular programmes, leading our work supporting isolated older people!
This is the perfect role for someone who has experience within the charity sector, and particularly with experience of working with older people, who wants the opportunity to develop projects to increase social connections.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Big Hearts is recognised as one of the leading football charities in Scotland, widely praised for the standard of our support services and the positive impact generated across Edinburgh.
Our reminiscence project was established at Tynecastle Park over 10 years ago and is based around our weekly Football Memories groups for over 65s, facilitated by a team of knowledgeable volunteers.
Each month, Big Hearts provides tailored support to hundreds of older people at risk of social isolation, dementia and poverty.
This role will help plan, deliver, and coordinate Big Hearts’ existing work in supporting older people through a number of initiatives, including group support, dementia-friendly resources and events.
