2023 BIG HEARTS GALA: DOUBLES LAST YEAR’S FUNDRAISING EFFORTS!

A spectacular evening filled with joy and generosity as Big Hearts welcomed over 250 guests to the 2023 #BigHeartsGala Fundraiser at Tynecastle Park.

The Gala is one of our charity’s biggest fundraising events of the year and we are thrilled to reveal that the amount raised on the night was an astonishing £21,115 – more than doubling last year’s efforts!

As the charity of Heart of Midlothian FC, Big Hearts delivers free activities for adults and children all year long, to help improve outcomes around mental health, social isolation and equal opportunities. All funds raised at the Big Hearts Gala, through ticket sales and main auction, will go to supporting our vital work using football as a tool to change lives.

Hosted by Hearts’ very own Graeme Easton and Scott Wilson, the Gala fundraiser is our most prestigious event of the year and offered Hearts’ fans a rare opportunity to spend the evening at Tynecastle Park supporting our award-winning charity.

We were delighted to welcome back Scottish Cup winners Darren Barr and Paul Hartley and the demolition derby hero Mark de Vries, for the occasion. Showing their support to Big Hearts and sharing memories from their time in maroon!

Mark de Vries said: “It has been great to be back in Edinburgh and back at Tynecastle. I loved my time here, so it has been an honour to come back as a guest of Big Hearts. I have been made to feel so welcome and it has been amazing to learn about the work of Big Hearts.”
