The much-anticipated day of the third #BigHeartsGala has finally arrived, and we are excited to welcome our guests to Tynecastle Park this evening!

Tonight’s event aims to raise awareness for the Club’s official charity and invites football personalities and supporters to come together to enjoy a memorable night out in Gorgie. Celebrating football in all its forms whilst raising funds in aid of Big Hearts, to help change the lives of local families!

On arrival, guests will enjoy a drinks reception before sitting down to a 3-course meal prepared by Tynecastle’s award-winning chefs. The event will be hosted by Heart of Midlothian’s Graeme Easton and Scott Wilson.

Here’s what else you can expect on the night:

Hearts Legends Q & A
Scottish Cup winners Paul Hartley and Darren Barr will be joined by the demolition derby hero Mark de Vries and they are all delighted to be taking part in this year’s #BigHeartsGala. Tonight, they will each share highlights from their illustrious careers and behind the scenes stories of their time playing for the famous Jamtarts!

Big Hearts Heroes
This evening we will showcase some of our vital work and how we harness the power of the Club’s badge in tackling the main challenges faced by communities across Edinburgh.

As part of our Kinship Care programme, we will welcome Danny, a carer who participates in Big Hearts Kinship Men’s Group. Big Hearts’ Kinship Care programme was launched in October 2015 and was the first family-focused programme at the charity. The programme offers a range of comprehensive support to address the emotional, practical and financial challenges faced by young people and their carers.

Representing our Welcome Through Football project, we will hear from Ameila and Hassan who regularly attend our weekly football sessions. Welcome Through Football is a project which aims to assist in the integration and inclusion of recently arrived refugees, asylum seekers and young people with a migrant background. The project is based on a range of activities promoting the quality of youth work, the intercultural dialogue and aims to strengthen knowledge and acceptance of diversity in society.

Live and silent auctions

With all money raised going to support Big Hearts’ work in the community, our charity has been working hard to make available a host of exciting prizes for our live and silent auctions!

Our guests will get the chance to go home with iconic memorabilia – including an incredible opportunity to be one of the first guests to stay in the brand new Tynecastle Park Hotel, a signed match prepared Lawrence Shankland Big Hearts Day 2023 kit, and a matchday experience in the Director’s Suite at Tynecastle Park.
