Charity Requests
CHARITABLE POLICY
Big Hearts Community Trust administers Heart of Midlothian Football Club’s charitable donations policy.
Each season, the Club makes available a limited number of items to donate to charitable causes. Although Hearts would like to donate items to every worthwhile cause, this is simply not possible due to the high volume of requests received.
Please note that:
– The Club do not offer financial support of any kind, this also concerns any permissions to host bucket collections on match days.
– Individual requests about birthday celebrations or personal messages from players are not part of the policy and will be ignored.
We aim to respond to all requests submitted in the correct form within a 4 to 6 week period to inform if you have been successful or not in obtaining a donation. Please read further for eligibility criteria and application process.
SUBMIT A REQUEST
All requests for charitable donations must be submitted in writing. We encourage to respect the application procedure as set out below to avoid any delays in processing your request.
1 – Complete the form which can be downloaded here: Charity Request Application Form_BigHearts
If you are raising funds on behalf of a charity, you will need to join an official letter on the charity’s letterhead confirming that you are authorised to raise funds on the charity’s behalf, as well as the date and nature of the event and full contact details.
2 – Send the completed form by email at charityrequests@bighearts.org.uk or by post at:

Any applications received in a different format or via an alternative route (e.g. by phone, verbal requests to Club staff etc.) will not be considered.
3 – We aim to respond to all requests submitted in the correct form within a 4 to 6 week period. You will receive a notification to inform you if your application has been successful or not. We will not provide any info on ongoing applications by phone.
4 – Successful applications will be entered into a monthly draw in order to determine which item will be awarded. We are unable to take requests for specific signed items.
We strongly recommend to make your application well in advance of the monthly draw – please allow at least 6 weeks to ensure you can receive your donation, if your application has been successful, in time for your fundraising event.
