Big Hearts announces a new opportunity for a Sessional Youth Worker to join the staff team. The role will facilitate the return of our various after school clubs and support the on-going growth of our charity.

Over the past 18 months, Big Hearts rose to the challenges faced during the pandemic and supported three times more adults and children than in the previous year.

We are now looking to recruit a Sessional Youth Worker who will work a minimum of 6 hours per week within our staff team.

The new staff member will play a key role in supporting the delivery of our existing after school youth work projects designed to support young people and teenagers in South West Edinburgh.

Big Hearts is recognised as one the leading football charities in Scotland, widely praised for the standard of our support services and the positive impact generated across Edinburgh.

This paid sessional role is for someone who can work in the evenings with opportunities to get involved in more projects as Big Hearts continue to develop.

The new staff member will provide tailored support and activities for young people and teenagers in need of positive experiences and guidance around mental health, wellbeing, resilience and life skills.

This is the perfect role for someone who has experience within the charity sector, and particularly with knowledge of providing support to younger people.
