Covid safety update | Big Hearts Delivers Christmas

Following the First Minister’s announcement on new Covid-19 guidance due to the rise of the Omicron variant, Big Hearts would like to share the measures put in place to keep all our staff, service users and volunteers safe.

– As of 14th December afternoon, all our face to face groups and festive celebrations across our programmes have been completed. We are currently reviewing risks and delivery methods for our regular projects which were due to resume in January 2022.

– The support scheduled for Christmas Day will go ahead as planned, with over 500 gifts and 400 festive meals distributed across the community via front door deliveries to minimise contacts.

– Activities and volunteering at our Stadium facilities in ‘The Shed’ are now organised to reduce household mixing to a minimum and to maintain social distancing at all times. All staff and volunteers, unless exempt, are required to wear appropriate face masks indoors. Ventilation of used spaces has been increased, along with cleaning of touch points.

– When not delivering projects, Big Hearts Staff will continue to work from home, as it has been the case for most of this year.

– We would encourage anyone visiting Big Hearts to take a lateral flow test in advance of their visit. Your contact details will continue to be taken upon arrivals for track and trace purposes.
