A huge thanks to Ritchie Callaghan who organised the Big Hearts Edinburgh Marathon running team and raised hundreds of pounds for the club's official charity. We are also very grateful for the generous support of City Cabs who sponsored the team.

Today we bring you a fantastic video from May 8th when the Tesco Bank Football Challenge arrived at Tynecastle.

Attendance was high with 120 kids from Broomhouse, Clovenstone, Dalry, Gylemuir and St. Cuthberts primary schools. Ryan McGowan even popped along to help with the coaching. Hearts was proud to be part of this initiative and we were happy to provide such a great experience for the kids.

The inaugural event will be taking place at Prestonfield Golf Club on Friday 15^th June and will involve both teams completing 2 rounds of golf.  

As part of being nominated for this award it means we are also up for the People’s Choice Award, this can be voted for by anyone.

Get this - our two day course here at Tynecastle is just £12 per player!

After a pitch inspection this morning, we are pleased to advise that the Community Pitch is good to go for this afternoon’s Easter coaching session, so we will see everyone here at Tynecastle for the 1pm start as planned.

Parents and carers should however continue to keep an eye on the Big Hearts Facebook and Twitter channels just in case the weather changes and we have to move or cancel this afternoon’s course at short notice.

Join Olympic torch-bearer Carole Fortune as one of a number of Hearts supporters running to raise funds for the award-winning Big Hearts charity.

Supporters of all abilities can take part in one of three fantastic events including: 

· 10K leg of the Edinburgh Marathon on Sunday 27th May*

· 5K Gorgie Dalry Gala Fun run on Saturday 9th June

· 10K Bupa Great Edinburgh on Sunday 7th October

The Early Touches Certificate course is for parents, coaches and volunteers working with kids in the 5-12 age range and takes place on Friday 25 May, 10.00am - 4.00pm and costs £35.

The Development Activities Certificate course is for those working with youths aged 13-18 years and will run on Friday 1 June 10.00am - 4.00pm and costs £35.
