Over £20,000 raised by Big Hearts supporters in 2017!

COMMUNITY FUNDRAISING – As we start 2018, we are thrilled to announce the outstanding amount of over £20,000 raised by supporters in aid of Big Hearts and charity partners across 2017!

In 2017, Big Hearts received over £11,000 in donations as part of various fundraising initiatives, including the Edinburgh Marathon Festival, the Kiltwalk, Big Hearts’ annual Golf Day, or the free will partnership with McClure Solicitors. Supporters also made one-off donations through Big Hearts’ JustGiving page, in memory of a loved one or to acknowledge their support to our work in the community.

Any donations to Big Hearts are directly invested in the delivery of existing family programmes – Football Memories groups, Kinship Care programme and T.E.A.M project – and the development of new areas of support where a need is identified.

In addition, we are delighted to reveal that across 2017 Big Hearts supporters contributed to a further £9,000 in aid of other charities supporting local families – including Save the Children Scotland and the Community One Stop Shop foodbank in Broomhouse.
