Music Box Cares – Free music workshops in July!

Big Hearts is delighted to announce that our Music Box Cares programme will return this July, with a week of musical activities at Tynecastle.

Music Box Cares is a youth music project designed for young people aged 10 – 18 year old with additional support needs. These free workshops give the young people the opportunity to discover, learn and play a range of different instruments – from the popular guitar, drums and keyboard to the new inclusive Skoog.

The project has been a great success in the past years, and with free places again this summer, Big Hearts is aiming to make music more accessible for young people with support needs across Edinburgh, allowing them to learn and interact with each other in a fun and creative way.

Big Hearts Music Box Cares will be running from Monday 24th to Friday 28th of July, from 2pm to 3:30pm, at the Community Department in Tynecastle Park.

All sessions are free of charge (travel expenses can also be covered). All levels are welcomed and no minimum experience is required.

Due to a limited number of places available, we encourage to register your interest now by emailing events@bighearts.org.uk with the following details:
– Name of the young person
– Age
– Brief description of support needs
– Contact name
– Contact email address
