Big Hearts shortlisted for the More Than Football Awards 2021!

This morning, Big Hearts has been announced as one of the four football organisations shortlisted for the More Than Football Awards 2021!

Every year, the awards recognise the most innovative and impactful community programme amongst 125 football clubs and charities throughout Europe. This year’s awards ceremony will take place on the 9th of November in Breda, Netherlands as part of the 16th European Football for Development (EFDN) Conference.

Our Big Hearts Supporters Movement has made the list alongside outstanding projects from Barça Foundation (Spain), PFC Ludogorets (Bulgaria) and FC Twente (Netherlands).

Since 2016, Big Hearts Supporters are a leading light in Scottish football contributing an average of 4,000 hours of volunteering per year. Last year, they played a vital role in Big Hearts’ capacity to navigate through the pandemic and ensure people most vulnerable would get the support they need.

The EFDN Conferences are the largest gatherings of Community and Social Responsibility (CSR) experts in European professional football, where they share and discuss best practices in CSR strategies, fundraising, sustainability, anti-discrimination or social inclusion.
