Big Hearts Memories: Extended due to popular demand!

Big Hearts are delighted to have extended our reminiscence programme, with the introduction of an additional weekly session.

Since the beginning of February, we have welcomed participants to join us on Monday afternoons – giving us more capacity than ever before!

This is a brand-new chapter for our long-standing programme, meaning we can now engage with over 100 older people every week. By doubling the scope and adding an additional session, we can give more people the opportunity to recall fond memories, share stories and build positive social connections.

Big Hearts Memories was first launched in the Club’s Museum but due to the increased popularity of the programme, this space became too small. Since its return in August 2021 after restrictions eased, Memories sessions are now held in our dedicated community space ‘The Shed’.

The reminiscence programme is held on Monday and Tuesdays from 1.45pm to 3.15pm. Welcoming participants from a wide range of backgrounds, including people living with dementia, stroke survivors, care homes patients and over 65s at high risk of loneliness.

We are now open for registration, with spaces available to come and join us. To register, please contact our Project Officer: kim.ogilvie@bighearts.org.uk – 07443 269 947.
