Reminiscence: Big Hearts to host 49 sessions for older people in 2020

In 2020 Big Hearts, the charity of Heart of Midlothian FC will continue creating opportunities to reduce social isolation and loneliness of over 65s. This will include our ever popular reminiscence programme: a weekly social group held on Tuesday afternoons in the Hearts Museum.

Older participants get to hear fascinating stories, access rare memorabilia and engage in lively conversations about life in the capital over the years (Edinburgh Memories) or iconic football players and games (Football Memories). All sessions are free to attend and include a ‘half-time’ snack with refreshments.

This year a total of 46 sessions will take place at Tynecastle Park along with 3 additional away days where the group will travel to a place of interest in the community. Previous trips included visit of Hopetoun House, BT Murrayfield or the East Lothian Military Museum.
