On Monday 22nd October, we will be opening our doors to all kinship care families across Scotland with our fourth Kinship Family Open Day at Tynecastle Park. Click here to get your free tickets! 

Big Hearts’ Free Kinship Family Day has become an annual gathering of kinship young people and their carers, known as the largest in Scotland.

The event celebrates our Kinship Care programme with our partner Mentor Scotland, delivering a wide range of comprehensive support for young people and their carers since October 2015.

In previous years we welcomed over 300 guests on the day and this year’s event promises to be even bigger and better!

A host of fun activities will take place between 11am and 3pm for the whole family to enjoy:
– Birds of prey & Alpacas petting
– Face Painting
– Arts & Crafts
– Stadium Tours
– Music tuition
– Football games

In addition, we are delighted to provide a tasty and free Buffet Lunch for everyone in attendance!

By the end of the day families might receive a special visit from the Hearts first team squad…

This 4th Kinship Family Day will also be the host of a vast marketplace with info stalls from over 20 organisations! Carers will get the chance to find out more about support services and activities available in the community.
