Kinship Care Families – New support group for male carers

A new branch of support for Kinship Carers in Edinburgh!

Tomorrow, Big Hearts will be launching a pilot project designed to facilitate connections between male kinship carers, extending once again their range of support to Kinship Care families across Edinburgh.

Run in partnership with Mentor Scotland, this free peer support group will allow the men to engage in social activities such as DIY, gardening or walking football. They will meet at Tynecastle on Thursdays, from 10:30am to 12:30pm.

Men’s Kinship Care Group – Upcoming meeting dates:
* 27th May – Community Walk with Health All Round
* 11th May – Improve your DIY skills
* 25th May – Gardening with Gorgie Smiles
* 8th June – Cookery/Healthy eating workshop
* 22nd June – Walking football

Tea, coffee and lunch will be provided.
