Kinship Care Celebration

The Gorgie Suite at Tynecastle was transformed this week as we held our Kinship Care Celebration Event!

The event, which marked the end of the Kinship Care After School Club for 15/16 profiled some of the fantastic work completed by the participating families and we marked each young person with certificates and Big Hearts Goody Bags.

The amazing Gary Dunn also provided some first class Magic for all the families across his hour long show before they enjoyed a delicious buffet lunch.

Hearts’ mascot Jock the Jambo also made an appearance much to the delight of the young Hearts’ fans in the group.

The Big Hearts Kinship Care Programme has engaged with over 100 Kinship Care Families since its launch in October 2015 and we are always looking for new Kinship Families to get involved. We have our summer programme about to kick off and our Kinship Care After School Club will return in August.
