Big Hearts is delighted to open a new opportunity to work for our charity following the internal promotion of an existing staff member.

Over the past 12 months, Big Hearts rose to the challenges brought by the pandemic and supported three times more adults and children than in the year before. To support our organisational growth our Communications and Fundraising Officer, Charlotte Cailliez will move into a new role as Engagement and Communications Manager of the charity.

Charlotte joined Big Hearts in January 2017 to oversee Big Hearts’ communications and community fundraising. Her new position will see her expand further the profile of our ambitious charity and focus on developing stakeholders’ engagement across our activity.

Big Hearts is now looking to recruit for the new position of Content and Communications Officer to join us on a full-time basis and become our 10th permanent staff member! Responsibilities will include creating high quality and engaging content, capturing inspiring stories and overseeing our social media.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Big Hearts is recognised as one the leading football charities in Scotland, widely praised for the standard of our support services and the positive impact generated across Edinburgh.

Our communications strategy plays a key-role in sharing the relevant information to our volunteers, programme participants, community partners and the Hearts supporter base.

We have a large presence on social media, with a combined audience of 17,000 followers and a record digital reach of 1.3 million reported last December.

This new role will support Big Hearts’ programme delivery and community initiatives by contributing a range of compelling assets across our digital and off-line communications channels.
