Big Hearts named as finalist in the Scottish Charity Awards!

Big Hearts is in the running for a 2017 Scottish Charity Award!
We are the only football club charity shortlisted this year.

Organised by SCVO (Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations), the Awards celebrate the life-changing work of charities, community groups and individuals dedicated to making Scotland a better place to live.

We are thrilled to see our Big Hearts Supporters movement among the 5 finalists in the ‘Cracking Campaign’ category. Since launching 15 months ago, over 130 volunteers helped us support 21 projects and 9 partner charities across Edinburgh.

Craig Wilson, Big Hearts Interim General Manager, said:

The movement has allowed us to support even more families across Edinburgh and have clearly opened new perspectives for football fans’ engagement in their local community.’’

All the team at Big Hearts would like to address a huge THANK YOU to all the Hearts fans who decided to give some of their time to help in some way, whether by volunteering, sharing our news or helping out at events. You demonstrate how the power of football can make a difference to the lives of the most vulnerable and we are very grateful for this.
