After the success of our foodbank collection last year, thanks to the generosity of hundreds of big hearted Jambos, we are delighted to support once again the Community One Stop Shop, who operates the foodbank in Broomhouse. The weeks before Christmas are a very challenging time for this small foodbank and any items donated will be a huge help to provide sufficient free packs of food to many vulnerable individuals and families during the festive season.

On Saturday 25th November, prior to the game Hearts vs Ross County kicking off at 3pm, Hearts fans and Big Hearts Supporters are encouraged to bring food donations at the collection point in Gorgie Dalry Stenhouse Church, close to the Gorgie stand turnstiles where they will be met by our team of volunteers from 1:30pm until 2:45pm.

Most wanted items include: tinned meals, tins of vegetables, meat or fish, UHT or powdered milk, pasta/rice and pasta sauces, tinned soup, toiletries and other long shelf life products. The food and supplies collected will be transported on the day directly back to Broomhouse and distributed in the following weeks to local families in crisis.

This year, the initiative will be kindly supported by Jambos Kickback. An online fundraising page has been set up for donations via paypal: http://www.hmfckickback.co.uk/index.php?/clients/donations. Thanks to Jambos Kickback, 100% of any money raised online will be directly donated to One Stop Community Shop, without any service charge!

We would like to thank in advance anyone who will support this initiative, through food donations or online fundraising, making a big difference for local families in need this Christmas!
