Big Hearts Community Trust and Yard Digital are delighted to announce an exciting new strategic partnership between the two organisations.

Yard Digital, led by director and lifelong Hearts fan Stephan Briggs, will become the creative and digital partner of Big Hearts Community Trust and are already working on developing a brand new website for the charity, due to launch by the end of 2015.

Big Hearts General Manager, Caryn Kerr, explained how important the partnership is for the charity:

“We are delighted to be joining forces with one of Scotland’s leading digital agencies which is not only based in Edinburgh but has very close ties to Heart of Midlothian. Yard will provide a first class service and in the first instance, the new website will provide us with a modern platform to share some of the fantastic work going on at Big Hearts. Key to the new design is ensuring we can interact better with the community which is at the very heart of what we do.”

Yard CEO Stephan Briggs was delighted to be able to offer digital marketing services to a charity close to both his and his family’s hearts. Stephan explained:

“We are delighted to be partnering with Big Hearts, not only as lifelong Hearts fans but also in recognition of the vitally important work that Big Hearts does to help families in need within the local community. The charity has the potential to make a huge difference and we are very excited to be a part of their new direction going forwards.”

Following the refocus of the charity last year, Big Hearts is now dedicated to delivering a new and ambitious family-focused strategy which will use the power of the club’s crest to better support and improve outcomes for vulnerable families across Edinburgh and surrounding areas.

The first new “family” programme will focus on supporting kinship care families, a priority area identified with key stakeholders including City of Edinburgh Council and leading charity Children 1st. The charity will also continue to deliver the innovative and successful ‘Football Memories’ programme which is helping local people living with dementia by reviving memories of players, matches, goals and incidents from football matches in their younger days.
