Big Hearts Supporters in Action!

The Big Hearts Supporters initiative is designed so that everyone can get involved. Using some of our existing Big Hearts Supporters we have provided a range of examples to highlight the variety of options in getting involved.

The key factor in all of the examples is that Big Hearts is benefitting and we appreciate every bit of help!

Scott Wilson is a busy man, he only has time to catch up on Big Hearts news through social media when he’s travelling to and from meetings. He contributes to our cause by sharing our Tweets and liking our Facebook updates.

Alex Jones is a lifelong Jambo who has been used to devoting his time to Heart of Midlothian. As he has some time to spare he volunteers with our Football Memories group. Alex uses his encyclopaedic knowledge to help our participants recall historic Hearts’ matches and players and prepares a newsletter for the group.

Craig Stewart has some spare time in the afternoons and having expressed a wish to help those who need it, now supports the Children 1st Kinship Care line and is therefore a Big Hearts Supporter in the community. Craig also supports our Football Memories group.

Kirsty Roebuck has one day per week to volunteering and upon hearing about Big Hearts’ plans was keen to get involved. Having worked in volunteer support roles within the community Kirsty now helps us connect with other local charities and groups as well as carrying out some admin tasks relating to Big Hearts Supporters. Kirsty also manages our Big Hearts Zone Volunteers.

Yard Digital are a UK wide agency with a base here in Edinburgh. They give Big Hearts their expertise in web-design and other digital services, free of charge, which has given us a fantastic new platform to connect with our supporters and share our great stories.
