Kinship Family Day – Registrations open to attend our 5th Open Day!

On Monday 21st October, kinship care families are invited to attend a free day of activities at Tynecastle Stadium!

Registrations are now open via Eventbrite.

Our 5th Kinship Family Day will run from 11am until 4pm with a host of fun activities for the whole family to enjoy, including: Face Painting, Owls, Arts & Crafts, Magic Show for U5s, Detective Workshop, Magic, Zorbing, Stadium Tours, Multi-sports & more!

We are delighted to offer a tasty buffet lunch to children & adults in attendance. Carers will also get the opportunity to engage with 15 organisations providing services & activities in the community, including 6VT, Citizen Advice and Edinburgh Council.

Since 2015, Big Hearts’ Free Kinship Family Day has become an annual gathering of kinship young people and their carers, known as the largest in Scotland. The event celebrates our Kinship Care programme which delivers comprehensive support throughout the year.

Any kinship care families from across Scotland is welcome to attend the event!
