Henry Smith wins Legends Player of the Year

The annual Hearts Legends player of the year awards were held in the Gorgie Suite prior to the Hearts v Motherwell match in December.
This was the fourth year of presentations for the formers players who play charity matches to raise money for good causes and Big Hearts.
The team has raised £53,000 since it began in 2008 and has featured a number of players from Hearts past and regularly includes stars such as Henry Smith, John Robertson, Alan McLaren, Gary Mackay, Jose Quitongo, Alan Lawrence, Jimmy Sandison and Gary Locke.
The main player of the year award, which is voted for by all Legends team player has been won previously by Scott Crabbe (2008), Jimmy Sandison (2009) and Alan McLaren (2010).
This years clear winner was Henry Smith by a landslide after a string of fantastic performances between the sticks. Henry couldn’t be there to collect the award personally and his daughter Hannah collected the award on his behalf.
