If you're the kind of person who likes to keep up bang up to date with the freshest new music, then you're going to love the new campaign from Big Hearts Music!

Big Hearts Sound Bites will spotlight one local band chosen by members of the Big Hearts Music team. The band will be featured in the match day programme, on the Big Hearts website and have their track played at half time by owr very own Scott Wilson.

 Feb 8th 2012 - Hearts v Celtic Sound Bite: The Industry

Edinburgh based band The Industry played their first show at The Citadel Youth Centre as part of the Leith Festival in June 2010. Before they’d returned to the 2011 Leith Festival supporting the 10:04s, they’d gone from openers to headliners, released two singles, been played on national radio and secured a gig at one of Scotland’s most prestigious venues, The Usher Hall.

Their first single Avalanche was recorded at Edinburgh’s Verden Studios after the band was selected to take part in the studio’s Youth Music Initiative, funded by Creative Scotland. 

Following a short touring experience with The Scottish Music Centre’s Hit The Road project in December, The Industry returned to the studio to record their third single Sleeping At The Wheel which will be officially released on 22nd March 2012 with a gig at Studio 24 in Calton Road.

We first met this band when they attended our SPL Music Box Sessions (held every Thursday @ 7.00pm here at Tynecastle) and have shown really strong musical ability, talent and an unfaltering drive.
